Will the Sony WH-1000XM6 be cheaper this Black Friday?
UK shoppers got a decent cut last year. Expect something similar, not deeper.
HappenedBlack Friday 2025
A solid first cut for a new flagship, reported on 27 November.
ForecastBlack Friday 2026
Likely a moderate drop
- Last year's UK cut was already generous for a launch-year model
- No successor announced, so no reason to dump stock
Should you wait for Black Friday?
Only if you're not in a hurry. Last year's UK cut was bigger than in the US or Germany, so there's less room left to fall. If you see it near last year's Black Friday level before then, take it.
The cheaper picks: what they really did
The percentages are real Black Friday 2025 cuts, as reported that week. The right column is our 2026 forecast.
Sony WH-1000XM5
Out since 2022
−47%Likely a big drop
Replaced by the XM6, and last year's deepest cut here. Expect it again.
Sennheiser Accentum Wireless
Out since 2023
−38%Likely a moderate drop
Three years old with no successor yet: a cut like last year's is likely.
Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless
Out since 2022
−15%Likely a big drop
A small cut last year, but the Momentum 5 is out now: expect a clear-out.
What this means: Here the XM6's older brother fell furthest. If you can live without the newest model, the XM5 is the one to watch.
Questions people ask
How much was the Sony WH-1000XM6 discounted last Black Friday in the UK?
About a quarter off its RRP, at Amazon on 27 November 2025. That was a strong cut for a model only six months old.
Should I buy the XM6 now or wait for Black Friday?
If it's already close to last year's Black Friday level, buy now: we don't expect a much deeper cut. If it's at full price, waiting three weeks is worth it.
Is the Sennheiser Momentum 4 worth it on Black Friday?
If you want battery life over the very best noise cancelling, yes. It lasts nearly twice as long per charge, and its successor's arrival makes a clear-out likely.
