Likely a moderate drop
- Every cheaper speaker on this page fell much further
- Out since 2024; age didn't bring a deep cut last year
Should you wait for Black Friday?
Only for Sonos owners. If you want it in a Sonos system, a cut like last year's is fine. For Bluetooth only, the JBL and Beats fell further.
The cheaper picks: what they really did
The percentages are real Black Friday 2025 cuts, as reported that week. The right column is our 2026 forecast.
JBL Charge 6
Out since 2025
−41%Likely a big drop
Fell nearly twice as far. Bigger, louder, longer battery.
Beats Pill
Out since 2024
−41%Likely a big drop
Deep cut last year and up to 24 hours per charge.
JBL Flip 7
Out since 2025
−38%Likely a big drop
Tough IP68 build. Lost well over a third.
What this means: Last year the Roam 2 fell least here. The others are Bluetooth only; the Roam joins Sonos over Wi-Fi.
Questions people ask
Is the Sonos Roam 2 worth it without other Sonos speakers?
Reviewers found it rich-sounding but pricey for its power. Its Wi-Fi and Sonos app make most sense if you own other Sonos speakers.
What's the battery life of the Roam 2?
Up to 10 hours, which reviewers call short next to rivals like the Pill.
Is the Roam 2 different from the first Roam?
Only a little. Reviewers note a new Bluetooth button that makes setup easier; the sound barely changed.
