Will the LG G5 OLED be cheaper this Black Friday?
Replaced by the G6 this year. Expect a big clear-out cut.
HappenedBlack Friday 2025
Two-fifths off the 65-inch in the US; UK deals needed a voucher code.
ForecastBlack Friday 2026
Likely a big drop
- It fell 41% last year while still LG's newest flagship
- The G6 arrived in 2026, so retailers are clearing G5 stock
Should you wait for Black Friday?
Yes. As an outgoing model it has more room to fall than last year. If it hits last year's level before 27 November, that's a fair price already.
The cheaper picks: what they really did
The percentages are real Black Friday 2025 cuts, as reported that week. The right column is our 2026 forecast.
LG C5 OLED (65-inch)
Out since 2025
−48%US figureLikely a big drop
The same deep OLED blacks, less brightness. Cut even harder last year.
Samsung S90F OLED (65-inch)
Out since 2025
−48%Likely a big drop
QD-OLED rival with no Dolby Vision. Nearly half off at one UK shop.
What this means: Both cheaper OLEDs fell close to half. The G5 is worth the extra for a bright room or a flush wall mount.
Questions people ask
Why does this page show a US figure for the LG G5?
The UK Black Friday deals we found on the G5 needed a voucher code, so we don't count them. Best Buy cut the 65-inch by roughly 41%, in a report dated 21 November 2025.
LG G5 or G6: which should I buy this Black Friday?
The G6 is brighter and sounds fuller. Reviewers still like the G5's more natural colours, and it should sell for far less as stock clears.
Does the UK LG G5 come with feet?
Not every version. The wall-mount model ships without feet, so check the model code if you want it on a unit.
How we reached this
Last year's cuts are the ones named outlets reported during Black Friday week 2025, against the regular price they quoted. The forecast is our reading of each model's age, its successors and last year's cuts. We never show prices. Where no outlet reported a cut in this country, we show the same model's cut reported in another country, marked with that country.
We haven't tested these products ourselves. Our picks weigh independent expert reviews against each maker's published specs and the prices we checked. Opinions are ours; facts link to where they come from. How we choose.
