Likely a big drop
- Last year's UK cut came close to half
- Launched in June 2023, and still the current Show 5
Should you wait for Black Friday?
Yes. It's the same model as last year and last year it fell a long way. Buy early only if it's already close to that level.
The cheaper picks: what they really did
The percentages are real Black Friday 2025 cuts, as reported that week. The right column is our 2026 forecast.

Amazon Echo Pop
Out since 2023

Questions people ask
How much was the Echo Show 5 reduced last Black Friday in the UK?
By about 44% against its usual price, still on offer on 2 December 2025.
What's new in the third-generation Echo Show 5?
One German review notes a third microphone, so Alexa hears you from further away. It launched in June 2023 and is still the Show 5 Amazon sells.
Is the Echo Show 5 good for Netflix?
Not really. A French review lists the missing Netflix app as a drawback, and YouTube runs only in the web browser. It's built for clocks, calls and smart home controls.
How we reached this
Last year's cuts are the ones named outlets reported during Black Friday week 2025, against the regular price they quoted. The forecast is our reading of each model's age, its successors and last year's cuts. We never show prices.
We haven't tested these products ourselves. Our picks weigh independent expert reviews against each maker's published specs and the prices we checked. Opinions are ours; facts link to where they come from. How we choose.
