Three cheaper pairs that last for days: the older twin, a light Sony, or budget Sennheiser.
Updated 5 November 2026
Its battery nearly matches the Momentum 5's rating: about 56 hours with noise cancelling on in SoundGuys' test. Expert Reviews loved the spacious sound but found the touch panel reacts to the lightest brush. Calls in noise and low drone are its weak spots.
Tom's Guide rated it a clear budget choice but found it thin at high volume. What Hi-Fi praised its calls once you pick the Clear EQ preset. TechRadar found keyboards and chatter still get through, and the plastic headband feels cheap.
What Hi-Fi heard a clean, balanced but slightly flat sound, and noise cancelling that copes well on the commute. For Tom's Guide the battery led its class and the quiet worked very well. There's no wired option or wear sensor.
Final recommendation: The Momentum 4 is the obvious saving: almost the same battery and a similar sound. The Sony WH-CH730N is the light, cheap commuter pick. The Sennheiser Accentum keeps a calm Sennheiser sound for the least money. The Momentum 5 stays the one to buy for the best detail and a battery you can replace.

A replaceable battery and improved noise cancelling, according to SoundGuys. Battery life and the flat-folding design are much the same.
No. What Hi-Fi notes it only lies flat, unlike the Sony WH-1000XM6 or Bose QC Ultra. Its case is wide but shallow.
At about 290 g it's heavier than most rivals, but What Hi-Fi still found it comfortable. The WH-CH730N and Accentum are both much lighter.
