Will the PS5 Pro drop on Black Friday 2026?
A steady Sony promo, not a clearance. Expect a moderate cut.
HappenedBlack Friday 2025
Roughly an eighth off at Currys, reported on 21 November.
ForecastBlack Friday 2026
Likely a moderate drop
- Last year's UK cut was in line with Sony's holiday promotion
- The April 2026 list price rise means any cut starts from higher up
- It's still Sony's newest console, so shops aren't clearing stock
Should you wait for Black Friday?
Probably. The Pro has had a holiday cut each year since launch. If a shop already matches last year's deal in early November, take it.
The cheaper picks: what they really did
The percentages are real Black Friday 2025 cuts, as reported that week. The right column is our 2026 forecast.
Sony PlayStation 5 Slim with disc drive (1 TB)
Out since 2023
−21%Likely a moderate drop
Keeps the disc drive and runs every PS5 game, minus the Pro upscaling.
Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition (slim)
Out since 2023
−33%Likely a big drop
The deepest cut of any PS5 here last year, at a third off.
What this means: The Digital Edition fell more than twice as far as the Pro. The Pro only makes sense on a large 4K TV.
