HappenedBlack Friday 2025
A big cut at Samsung, reported on 24 November.
ForecastBlack Friday 2026
Likely a big drop
- It fell 40% when it was brand new; a year older, a repeat is likely
- The Watch9 is out, which puts pressure on last year's range
Should you wait for Black Friday?
Yes. Samsung's own store led last year's cut, and nothing suggests it will be stingier now. It's still the only Classic with the rotating bezel, so it won't vanish, just get cheaper.
The cheaper picks: what they really did
The percentages are real Black Friday 2025 cuts, as reported that week. The right column is our 2026 forecast.
Samsung Galaxy Watch8
Out since 2025
−34%Likely a big drop
Same software and sensors, no rotating bezel. Also cut by a third.
Google Pixel Watch 4
Out since 2025
−14%Likely a big drop
Clean Wear OS and a bright domed screen; the Pixel Watch 5 replaced it.
What this means: The plain Watch8 gives you the same smarts for less. The Pixel Watch 4 fell least last year but has just been replaced.

Questions people ask
Is there a Galaxy Watch9 Classic?
No. Samsung launched the Watch9 and Watch Ultra2 in July 2026 without a Classic, so the Watch8 Classic is still its rotating-bezel model.
Does the Galaxy Watch8 Classic work with an iPhone?
No. It needs an Android phone, and some health features need a Samsung phone.
Watch8 Classic or Watch8: what's the difference?
The Classic adds the physical rotating bezel, a larger 46 mm case and a quick-access button. Tracking and software are the same.
