PicksForLess is built to need as little of your data as possible. We have no accounts, no newsletter sign-up, no comment forms and no advertising trackers.
Who we are
The data controller for the limited personal data described here is HNR TECHNOLOGIES LTD, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, which publishes picksforless.com. You can reach us at hello@picksforless.com.
What we collect and why
- Server and security logs. Our site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so it can deliver the site and protect it from attacks and abuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
- Outbound shop clicks. When you click a "Check price" button, the request passes through our own link service on Cloudflare so we can add the retailer's affiliate tracking. We don't store who clicked; operational logs are kept only briefly by Cloudflare.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we use your address and message to reply, and keep them only as long as needed to deal with your message.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising or profiling.
Retailers and affiliate programmes
When you follow a link to a retailer such as Amazon, you leave our site. That retailer, and the affiliate programme behind the link, may use cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies. They may tell us that a sale happened so we can be paid a commission, but they don't tell us who you are.
Processors and international transfers
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and delivers our site. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK, under safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict how it's used, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email us to make a request. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We don't set any cookies for analytics or advertising. See our cookie policy.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, for example by adding privacy-friendly analytics, we'll update this page first and change the date at the top.
