Will the JBL Flip 7 get cheaper on Black Friday 2026?
A launch-year cut of over a quarter. Expect about the same again.
HappenedBlack Friday 2025
Its first Black Friday, a few months after launch, still brought a real cut, reported on 1 December.
ForecastBlack Friday 2026
Likely a moderate drop
- It fell more than a quarter in its launch year, so JBL is willing to discount it
- The cheaper Wonderboom 4, a year older, fell further: the older speaker got the deeper cut
Should you wait for Black Friday?
Yes, it's worth waiting. Last year's cut came only months after launch. With a year more on the shelf, we see no reason for a smaller one. If you spot it near last year's cut before then, buy it.
The cheaper picks: what they really did

Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 4
Out since 2024
−40%Likely a big drop
Out since 2024 and fell hardest here last year. It floats, too.
JBL Clip 5
Out since 2024
−25%Likely a moderate drop
Clip-on and pocket-sized; its cut last year was close to the Flip 7's.
What this means: Last year the smallest speakers here fell by a quarter or more. The Wonderboom 4 got the biggest cut; the Clip 5 is the one to hang on a bag.

Very likely. Last year, in its launch year, it fell 27% in the US. We expect a similar, moderate cut this time.

Yes. It's rated IP68 against dust and water, one step above the IP67 of the Clip 5 and Wonderboom 4.
Flip 7 or Wonderboom 4 for the beach?
Both survive sand and a dunk. The Wonderboom 4 floats and fell further last Black Friday; the Flip 7 is the bigger, punchier speaker.
